"Draw your own conclusions, but draw them in pencil so
you can go back and change them later."
-Jon Welte
Here we go again. I suppose we can still call this the Somewhat-Less-Than-Definitive Adam D. Barnhart Page, though the truth at this point is that it's probably closer to the As-Definitive-As-It's-Going-To-Be Adam D. Barnhart Page. The site goes back to the beginning of 1997, which may not make it definitive, but surely makes it old. Though things -- navigation, in particular -- should be a little sharper with the new setup, the site is still decidedly based around its content. I've never been much of a visual person and this site has surely been evidence of that. That having been said, I've tried to organize things so you can find what you're looking for. Most of the meat of the site is in the Writings section, including some fairly substantive pieces, primarily about things historical and sociological. The News, is about what it sounds like, a way of keeping up with changes on the site, as well as giving me a chance to note a little about what's going on in the world around me. The Music and Humor areas are about what they sound like, and contain a mix of stuff I've written and stuff I've collected (heavier on the former on the Music side, almost exclusively the latter, as far as the Humor goes). I nearly always read the Biographical blurbs on web sites, being one of those who's as interested in the artist as the art, so I thought it only appropriate to put one up myself. The Technical information on the site is really only of interest to the morbidly curious, the Links are a tip of the cap to an superannuated online practice, and I've thrown everything else into a Miscellany category. Final qualifiers: I'm still hoping that what's here is of moderate interest, and I'll beef things up as the muse calls. After a few years of this, I'm still a believer in the idea that the web is an excellent springboard to dialogue: if you're so inclined, I welcome any feedback you might have. I don't always respond to it dutifully, but I will get to it eventually, I swear. |
