Recorded: 1988-1990 at The Toledo Studio, Long Beach, California
Engineer: Wade Wilkinson
Released: Summer, 1990

Notes/Circulation: Recorded at the band's home studio (perhaps best known as the place where significant portions of Sublime's "40 Oz. to Freedom" were recorded), Howlin' at the Moon updated a number of "classic" Souls songs, adding to them a cover of Love's "7 And 7 Is" and the well-received ballad "Sonja (And The Heroin Girls)." The band's only "official" release, it was sold locally and at shows.

Performers:

  • Howlin' Mike Malone: Vocals, Vibes, Harmonica, Drums
  • Scott "Whad" Atchinson: Lead & Rhythm Guitars
  • Wade Wilkinson: Bass
  • Roger Beall: Drums on Drunk Indian and 7 & 7 Is
  • Kenji Stevens: Guitar and Backing Vocals on Live Together and Doors Open In, Backing Vocals on Sonja and Bad Daddy's Mama
  • Jane Bray: Backing Vocals on Sonja and Gone And Away
